This was a total restoration street rod. The frame was built by myself and Steve Hankinson. Body was built by David Nelson, Bill Berry, and myself. Glass work by Randy Treese. Interior work created by Mark Smith. Mechanical and electrical work completed by Steve Hankinson. I completed the paint work and assembly. All these very talented craftsmen work with me on a regular basis.
The overall design of the car was masterfully imagined by the owner, John Moffit. His wife, Connie, picked the color combination and brilliant green pin stripe. Quite the eye catcher I must say!
A bit about the car itself: It has a box frame, Mustang II front end, Corvette rear end, 350 Chevy with street blower and a 700R4 transmission.
The body is accented with suicide doors, a full roof panel, electric trunk lid ,and custom tail lights. We kept the original headlights and grill to maintain the Studebaker look.
The interior is leather with ostrich inlays. The original dash was used, but customized to blend with the hand built instrument panel. It is equipped with power windows and Vintage Air.
